What you’ll do:
- Take a meaningful part in the global growth of one of the most advanced sport technology companies in the world and bring its unique innovation to the UK market
- Lead WSC’s commercial and business development in the UK, via new partnerships with sports media rights holders
- Drive sales and partnerships efforts to clients and partners by providing product and technological capability information, case studies, market potential, etc.
- Become the face of WSC’s on-the-ground presence in the UK
- Lead the UK market pipeline development and drive all opportunities within the sales cycle
- Devise deep business and product strategies for our clients
- Support efforts to deliver pending deals and finalize deals within existing relationships.
- Iterate on product-market-fit through detailed familiarity of customer needs, product, and technology understanding. Design and drive Go-To-Market strategies in collaboration with the BizDev, Product, and Marketing departments, and work to execute the offering.
- Interact with the Account Management team to effectively manage client expectations, ensure successful delivery, and help set the expectation for future potential growth.
- Manage initiatives post-launch and assume ownership of initiatives’ KPIs.
- Lead generation, identification of potential partner channels to build out channel program in UK/EMEA, while maintaining partner relationship ownership.
What you’ll need:
- 8+ years of experience in Sales/BizDev teams within the sports business or sports media-tech industry, focusing on the UK market and media/digital initiatives.
- Strong network within the sports media industry in the UK (and beyond).
- Strategic thinking coupled with the ability to take end-to-end ownership, from concept to execution.
- Emotional intelligence and the ability to empathize with the potential customer/partner.
- Ability to lead and project-manage across multiple functional areas and different time zones
- Relationship-builder, initiator, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical knowledge and familiarity with R&D processes.
- Flexibility to travel.
Bonus Points:
- Intra/entrepreneurial experience working in a growth-stage startup company.
- Previous experience working for a high-tech company.
- Previous experience working for a sports/sports-media company; Familiarity with sports organizations, sports broadcasters, OTT, sports betting, etc.
- Previous experience leading a business/product line and assuming revenue responsibility.
- Engineering or Computer Science degree/experience.
