Director of Brand Marketing

As the Director of Brand Marketing, you will lead all efforts that build brand identity, increase brand awareness, drive WSC Sports’ business growth and solidify our unique position in the Sports-Tech market.

You will lead all our internal and external communications and take ownership of our online assets & activities, such as website, blog, and social media. You will develop and own key brand and communications KPIs, and set the strategy and implementation plans for our global brand efforts.

The Director of Brand Marketing reports directly to the VP of Marketing and works closely with other teams within the marketing department, as well as with other teams at WSC, such as Business Development, Design, HR, and Accounts.

What you'll do:

  • Build and execute our global re-branding effort
  • Recruit, retain, and develop a team of marketers. Ensure the team’s development by inspiring them to think big and fostering their creativity, energy, and strengths
  • Act as a brand advocate, providing thought-leadership, inspiration, and best practices, Align the company around the brand’s direction, choices, and tactics
  • Develop and own a holistic marketing communication plan across various channels: website, webinars, podcasts, events, sponsorships, influencers, social media, community, etc.
  • Explore and track internal & external brand marketing KPI's
  • Build and own Brand Marketing’s annual budget, measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess ROI
  • Promote brand awareness by creating both paid & organic content collaborations with key online publications and influencers
  • Manage the company’s end-to-end global PR strategy
  • Build & manage a growing community of WSC Sports’ followers
  • Manage social media channels with our brand team & keep the conversation going
  • Analyze brand positioning, market trends, competition, and consumer insights
  • Develop sales tools and collateral, support our regional marketing efforts

What you'll need:

  • At least 7 years of professional experience in brand & marketing positions
  • Experience working in a global hyper-growth SaaS company
  • Proven track record of hiring, mentoring and retaining marketing professionals
  • Experience managing freelancers, writers, agencies, and other external resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - English at a mother tongue level
  • Proven track record of positioning and building at least one successful brand
  • Excellent storytelling capabilities, understanding exceptional creativity (copy and design)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to collegiate teamwork
