Head of DevOps

WSC Sports, which provides an innovative workflow automation solution for sports media-right owners, from ingestion of live content to distribution of automatically created short-form videos - Tailor-Made, customized and personalized for every need, is looking for an experienced Head of DevOps with a passion for tackling big problems and innovating new cloud solutions. The ideal candidate for this position will bring the right processes, mastery of tools, and experience needed to tackle complex problems of scale unique to WSC Sports.

What you’ll do:

  • Be a part of the R&D management team
  • Lead, train and motivate a team of highly skilled DevOps engineers
  • Build our Infrastructure and DevOps roadmap
  • Recruit, build, and lead a team of DevOps engineers experts running our cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement tools and procedures in support of Deployment and CI/CD infrastructure
  • Work with software engineers, QA automation engineers and operations to architect solutions that increase efficiency, scale and reliability across WSC Sports architecture
  • Participate in product discussions, influence the roadmap and take ownership and responsibility for new projects to make them happen
  • Maintain multiple and consistent environments
  • Enforce security principles and practices as needed

What you’ll need:

  • 3+ years in a lead/management position
  • 5+ years of experience with DevOps and cloud technologies.
  • Strong expertise with Azure is required (2+ years), experience with AWS and other cloud technologies is a plus
  • Experience with containerized environments and micro services (K8s / ECS)
  • Experience with logging and monitoring technologies and services
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages (Python, Bash)
  • A state of mind and approach to automate away from manual efforts
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Strong root cause analysis, debugging and troubleshooting skills
