video intelligence Announce Partnership With WSC Sports to Scale AI-Based Automated Content Production & Distribution

Contextual video technology company video intelligence and WSC Sports join forces in using AI-technology to provide fans with personalized video content that matches readers current interest

Innovative contextual video technology company, video intelligence (vi) and WSC Sports, the global leader in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven sports video technology, announced today a strategic partnership to revolutionise the production, distribution and monetization of sports content.

As part of the data-driven approach that both companies share, the partnership will include the optimization of automatically created compilations for discoverability, engagement, and subsequent monetization.

WSC Sports’ ‘automagical’ platform will ingest archive sports content from chosen media rights holders and automatically create hundreds of specially curated video compilations which will be contextually distributed and monetized by vi’s innovative AI-based technology. The variety of specific clips created by WSC Sports, along with accompanying metadata which they also provide, will help vi’s algorithm surface the content in a better way, helping to dramatically increase it’s discoverability, and drive reader engagement.

WSC Sports and vi will collaborate first on an Italian football project, creating compilations of the best goals and best matches of clubs such as AC Milan, Inter Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina, and many more teams from the top tier of Italian Football. These videos will all then be contextually matched with publishers editorial articles across the globe.

“Through our partnership with WSC sports, we create a full-service AI-based alternative to the traditional sports content production and distribution model”. Kai Sackmann, Director of Sports Strategy and Partnerships at video intelligence said.

“Our complimentary solutions simultaneously enhance the user experience, add multiple new touch points and create new ways to monetize short-form video. Together we increase the reach of rights holders, give publishers access to premium video, and most importantly — we create engaged and happy fans”.

“This partnership model essentially provides a win win for all involved parties.” Vadim Drozdovski, Head of Strategic Business Development at WSC Sports said. “Rights owners improve the reach and exposure of their content, the syndicator is able to provide better content matching and improve resulting engagement. The publisher is able to provide more tailored content to its users. This virtuous cycle results in a significant increase in content monetization for all parties involved.”

The partnership between WSC Sports and vi will initially focus on the use of artificial intelligence to make sports video workflows more effective and the two plan to work together on selected projects in the future.
