WSC Sports, the global leader in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven sports video technology, and the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), the First Division Professional League partner of Canada Basketball, today announced a partnership to create real-time video highlights using WSC Sports’ machine learning platform and distribute content to CEBL’s website, OTT platform and social channels.
The seven team CEBL was founded in 2017 and began play in 2019, with a focus on showcasing home-grown professional talent while creating an exciting basketball entertainment experience. The League will be using WSC Sports’ platform to capture video of key plays and players in all CEBL games and automatically create highlights to be shared across digital and social platforms.
“We are really excited to use WSC Sports’ innovative technology tools to help elevate the content experience of CEBL basketball around Canada and beyond,” said Ansh Sanyal, Director, Brand & Marketing of CEBL.
“WSC Sports’ platform has partnered with top leagues like the NBA, NHL, NBL Australia and more — it’s great to be able to add the CEBL to that list as well”.
“Building on the Toronto Raptors NBA championship win in 2019, basketball in Canada has never been hotter! We are pleased to help the CEBL grow their digital presence and engage with more fans by sharing CEBL highlights automatically and in real-time,” said Jessica Anguiano, business development manager at WSC Sports.
